ADDICTION
“Hey there it’s me calling again” (your inner voice, craving and Anxiety), “I thought i would pop up and say hello”.
“What is that constant feeling, i get?”, that deep lingering feeling that is deep inside you, that you don’t understand, where it comes from, or what it is?.
But it keeps popping up when you least expect it.
It drags you down and puts you into a place that you struggle to crawl out of, it grabs hold of your soul and eats away at you.
We try and get out of this space, but it takes all of our effect and uses up everything that we have, to fight the voices. But in the end are we all left the same way? Fighting to keep the cravings away?
That voice comes in and says it wants to tell you something else, it says;
Well there you are all alone, here I am sitting and waiting with the world to strike again. Which one of us comes first, the people? the animals? the fauna? Or everything in the surrounding environment, or just the overwhelming pull of society, and what it wants from us?
What about the expectations that the community holds over us as individuals, can we live up to this? Can we do it in a constant and consistent manner?
Drugs, Alcohol and Sex, are these the things that make us grow into mortal destroyers or the backbone to what hold us together? but at what cost?
Are these the things that build up our responsibility to be accountable for everything that we do?
A flower sits and grows in a window, it has no worries, no qualms, it thrives on our survival and we thrive on its survival, it sits quietly whilst the wold goes by, it sits unnoticed. But what does it symbolise?
Breath, we breath in the air that it produces and the calm that it signifies. But what if this air was toxic and unable to provide us with what we need, where would we be? What would we do?
Help us fight through the pain and confusion in our head, you know us so well you talk to us, you know everything about us, you talk to us in a way i understand, you have all the answers and you know what we are all going to come to in the end.
We find a brief way out of our pain, we feel happy, joyous but only for a short moment, it dost last, what can we do? we want to relive ourselves of this hurt, we disintegrate until we start to rejuvenate ourself with the urge to lighten up our senses with another pick me up, so the cycle happens again, We find ourselves back to the start and needing to find ways to repair again.
When will it stop?
THOUGHTS
Thoughts run, thoughts run constantly through our mind without a break. They create waves through the mind, ripples through our neuro-pathways. Each way we turn, every angle we try to look at things, we hope to see them differently and in a way that makes sense or gives us direction. Our thoughts can create bigger hurdles for us to overcome and complicate situations further. These multiple reoccurring thoughts, how can they all fit in my mind? They continually cause us unnecessary angst and trauma, we develop anxiety along with so many different emotions, but we need to push through, each dilemma presents a maze to triumph through.
We live around hope, hope is sometimes all we have to cope through what goes on in our heads. Life grows nails it spikes when we least expect it, life results in situations that we find difficult to handle. At times finding it hard to survive in our own heads, smiling on the surface and ensuring everything is happy and easy around us.
Our mind runs in all directions trying to seek assistance and make sense of situations. Sometimes we fall down, we fall into a heap and we feel lost. All pleasures in life feel so hard and far away. We struggle to reach out for help and we get lost in trying to seek a helping hand. We continue to think and ponder, until we can work through our pain and in turn, able to make our own choices and decisions.
Thinking, gets us to a point where we can get over and through things on our own and then able to comfortably sleep at night without having the burden of other peoples lives interrupted, and our lives being able to continue on as “normal”.
